Adding Nodes to Chainmail


 

Set UP Chainmail Connections In Messenger: 

1. Back-up the chainmail information before making changes 
      a. Copy the tree.dat from C:\Users\synect-1U\AppData\Roaming
      b. Paste in C:\Users\synect-1U\Documents\Chainmail_Backup
2. In Messenger go to tools/preferences/Tree edit 
      a. Add a new Node and change the "new node" name with the machine with correct information 
      b.Add the correct IP address for the new device and select "Add IP" 
     c. Add Message links (link CC Cores to (2)UP's and from the UP to the CC Core) 
      d. Add TCP Incoming file links (link CC Cores to (2)UP') 
      e. Once links are established, remove links from UP to CC Core link 

Import Chainmail Connections in CNario Messenger
 
1. In the Network Tab in the Messenger Create a folder for your new channels, or right click on the existing folder where new channels will be imported to and select Import Chainmail Channels.
2. Select the device you wish to import and wait for the green connection indicator and a plus sign on the left of the device name: 
3. Select import and check the network Status tab in Messenger and the on the watchdog network tab on the new device.  
4. Once all connections are verified and the network is communicating on all devices, delete the Message link from messenger to machine (delete once connection is established)
